Lady  Jacqueline Cranford

Prayer warrior, servant, worshiper, mentor, and vessel of God’s unmerited grace and favor are only a few characteristics of this dynamic woman of God. A native of Mobile, Alabama Lady Jacqueline Cranford has partnered with her husband, Administrative Assistant & Pastor Jesse Cranford III in building a home, family, and ministry to the glory of God at Prayer Chapel Church of God in Christ in Detroit, Michigan. Together they are the proud parents of two sons, Bernard D’ Angelo who is deceased and Ronald Benjamin (Chanelle). Four beautiful grandchildren, Jessikah Amari, Jalayah Chanelle, Jeremiah Bernard, and Jezziah Ronald Benjamin.


After high school Lady Cranford furthered her education at Draughn Business College in Shreveport, Louisiana and currently attends Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan pursuing a degree in Business Administration, where she will continue in her studies to receive her Master’s degree. She has worked for the Detroit Board of Education for twenty-three years and currently works at Wayne State University.


She was saved and spirit-filled at the young age of sixteen and accepted the call to ministry at the age of thirty-one. As the First Lady of Prayer Chapel COGIC, Assistant Supervisor Cranford oversees all women’s ministries including, Young Women’s Christian Council, Christian Women’s Council, the Singles Ministry, Couple’s Ministry, Mother’s Board, the Greeters, the Ushers, the Missionaries Circle, Ministers’ Wives Circle, and the Deaconess Team. She is embraced by her local church as a people person with sincere love for everyone. She is a hands-on minister who desires to see people saved, totally delivered, and set free.


Her love for ministry extends beyond her local church, where she humbly serves as the Assistant Supervisor of Southwest Fifth Jurisdiction of Michigan under the leadership of Bishop Don W. Shelby & Supervisor Susan Rimson-Starks. Previously she has served as a special assistant on various jurisdictional assignments under the leadership of the late Mother Merle Cranford (her mother-in-law and former Supervisor) In addition, she has also served as a Jurisdictional Marshall, program coordinator, Executive Board member, and the Superintendent’s Wives Committee under and her former Supervisor Mother Dianne Bogan, Supervisor of Great Lakes First Jurisdiction of Michigan.


Assistant Supervisor Jacqueline Cranford is a dynamic speaker and a woman of faith, strength and power. She stands firm on her belief that “he which hath begun a good work in her will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

(Prayer is at 6:00 pm, Service begins at 7:00 pm.)


Sunday - Morning Worship is at 10:00 am, Prayer starts at 9:30 am
